Computer laboratory established at Jamilo School, expanding digital learning access for students and preparing them for a technology-driven future.

Workforce of 17 regular staff and pupils' enrolment of 264 at Jamilo School.

Construction of 8-door latrine with separate sections for boys and girls at Jamilo School.
2020
Jamilo presented the first cohort of candidates for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Examinations (KCPE) and posted the best leading (mean 320.6) in Ragumo zone. School multipurpose hall and kitchen constructed. Registered as examination centre by Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC).
2018
County champions in Early Years Education (EYE) Creative dance and African singing game at Jamilo School.
2016
1st YSDAK sponsored child graduates with a Bachelor Degree from the University.
2013
1st YSDAK sponsored child admitted at the University.
2010
Jamilo School formally registered and admitted its first learners in Nursery — a dream realised for the community. The school would grow to serve hundreds of children across Kisumu County. 1st YSDAK sponsored child admitted at the prestigious Kenya Medical Training College. 1st YSDAK sponsored child graduates at Kenya Medical Training College.
2009
YSDAK representatives visited The Netherlands on a learning and benchmarking mission. Construction of Jamilo School began following the acquisition of land — laying the foundation for one of the organisation's most impactful projects.
2008
Launched The Children Left Behind (TCLB) project in Kisumu — an education sponsorship initiative for vulnerable children that continues to transform lives to this day.
2007
YSDAK officially registered as a Non-Governmental Organization in Kenya. The founding vision: a society in which children and youth have a chance to develop their full potential.
2005
YSDAK trains its first batch of 40 youth football coaches and referees as part of its collaborative effort with the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) and Mathare Sports Association (MYSA).
1999
YSDAK founded and registered as Self Help Group under Ministry of Culture and Social Services.
